Wantagh Morton Lodge No. 63 F&AM

Wantagh Morton Lodge No. 63
Free & Accepted Masons
Nassau District, State of New York
A Masonic lodge rooted in history, grounded in community, and active today.
Since 1797, men in our community have gathered under the principles of Freemasonry to strengthen themselves and serve others. Morton Lodge No. 63 was founded in Hempstead in the early years of the Republic; Wantagh Lodge No. 1112 followed in 1931. In 1989, the two merged to become Wantagh Morton Lodge No. 63.

That history reflects generations of local men who believed that character matters, that friendship has value, and that community is strengthened when individuals commit to something larger than themselves.

We are part of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York. Our members come from a wide range of professions and backgrounds, but in the lodge room, all are equal. When we meet, our differences take a back seat to thoughtful reflection, genuine fellowship, and personal growth.
Meeting Schedule and Location
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month.

Baldwin Masonic Temple
754 Prospect St
Baldwin, NY 11510
Regular meetings are reserved for members, as is customary in Freemasonry, though visiting Masons are always welcome with advance notice. If you're curious about the fraternity and want to learn more, we'd love to hear from you.
What Is Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is one of the oldest fraternal organizations in the world. It is neither a religion nor a political organization. It is a fraternity built on shared moral principles and mutual respect.
At its core, Freemasonry encourages:
-
The development of personal integrity and discipline
-
Lifelong learning and self-improvement
-
Service to the community and charity
-
Brotherhood across differences of background and belief
For more than two centuries, these principles have guided the work of our lodge.
A Living Tradition
The names associated with our charter include leaders who helped shape New York and the United States. Just as important are the many local members whose quiet dedication sustained the lodge through wars, economic hardship, and social change.
Wantagh Morton Lodge No. 63 exists today because each generation chose to preserve what was entrusted to them while adapting responsibly to the present.
We remain committed to that same balance of tradition and thoughtful progress.
